Committees
Domestic Violence Committee
This committee's goal is to increase awareness in the community and school. To provide education to all that would like it. Work with the local Sheriff and PD to in crease awareness and provide supports in the area of domestic violence in any way possible.
Members: Family Violence Project, all 6 Law Enforcement agencies, Rape Crisis, Crisis & Counseling, Youth & Family Services, SCARP, local businesses

Local Children's Resource Committee
LCRC works to address and resolve barriers encountered by families. These families must have children/youth that are involved with 2 state serving agencies (DOE, DOC, etc,). Families must have exhausted all options of which they are aware.
Members: Youth & Family Services, Crisis & Counseling, Law enforcement, KVCAP, Kennebec Behavioral Health, any any other agency – or family from Somerset County that would like to present as issue to the LCRC

Transportation Committee
This committee's goal is to assist Somerset County residents with transportation needs by identifying viable programs that will link community members to transportation resources.
Members: Senior Spectrum, Community volunteers, KVCAP, Women Work & Community

Somerset County Communities for Children & Youth
The goals for C4C&Y are:
  • to measurably improve the well-being of children and youth in Somerset County, and
  • to increase educational attainment and achievement level of all Somerset County children & Youth.
Members: KVCAP, Youth & Family Services, Redington-Fairview General Hospital, SAD #54, SAD #59, Somerset Heart Health, Kennebec Valley Behavioral Health, UM Cooperative Extension, The Children’s Center, Juvenile Probation, Family Violence Project, Sebasticook Valley Healthy Communities

Public Health & Wellness
This committee strives to ensure that the basic emotional, physical and spiritual needs of everyone in the community are attended to.
Members: Somerset Heart Health, Sebasticook Valley HMP, KVCAP, Cooperative Extension

Behavioral Health
This committee's goal is to increase awareness and provide supports in the area of Behavioral Health in any way possible with Health care services provided for the prevention or treatment of mental health or substance abuse disorders.
Members: Youth & Families Services, Crisis & Counseling, Kennebec Behavioral Health, Family Violence Project
